Our IPP Legacy
We were founded in 1977 as Industrial Protection Products (IPP) and quickly became a leading New England supplier of safety shoes and prescription safety eyewear. Over the years, we developed a strong reputation for providing quality products and unmatched service. But our desire to create an even larger positive impact on American workers meant we needed a partner with the resources and experience to get it done. So in 2024, we joined forces with Saf-Gard®, expanding our reach and allowing us to help protect even more people on the job.

Operating as Optikus, a division of Saf-Gard®, we’ve been able to dig deeper and focus solely on prescription safety eyewear solutions. Meanwhile, Saf-Gard®, who’s been in the safety shoe business for 45 years, now runs the footwear side of the house.
